Yep, you read that right we're ringing in the year with Mercury in Retrograde. Mercury Retrograde often gets a bad rep but really it's a reminder to us to slow down and/or revisit some past situations. This Mercury Retrograde is in Capricorn.  Since this retrograde begins in Capricorn, the cardinal earth sign associated with karma, determination and delayed gratification, you can expect this experience to place a few hurdles in your path.  Don’t be afraid of facing challenges head-on and pulling up your bootstraps, because Capricorn always finds a way to reward you for hard-work. You can expect that many of us will be willing to accept apologies, make peace and move forward with this particular Mercury Retrograde as it has the influence of a Pisces Energy. On Dec 23, 2022 we'll have the New Moon in Capricorn. I love that the new moon is right before  Christmas giving us waxing moon energy to be able to have more energy. I don't know about you but these last few weeks have run me over. I have totally been in survival mode. I haven't done much of my sun salutations in the morning that help me get ready for my day and I can't remember when I last mediated.  Or even worked out. Today was the first year that I intentionally celebrated the winter solstice. Before I share what me and my family did I'll share a bit on my journey with a shaman. Today I went in for my third session in the last month or so.  I started seeing a shaman to help me release and uncover what's holding me back.  When I scheduled the appointment I didn't even consciously realize it was on Winter Solstice.  I am actively working in integrating my feminine energy more and reconnecting with pieces of me I have lost or forgotten. She walked me through various reconnecting journeys. Afterwards she asked me to do give an offering to Mother Nature at the closest body of water. Gathering sticks, rocks, twigs as offerings.       My husband, kids, and I did this after work.
